About Mrs. Centeno
I would like to take this moment to introduce myself as the Art teacher for K-6 at Franklin Academy. I look forward to this school year, as we will be learning about new artists and techniques. I am super excited to meet all of my students and their parents.
My name is Mrs. Centeno I graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor's degree in Art Education (K-12) and with Cum Laude honors.
The elementary school I went to started art classes in second grade, the teacher I had was amazing. I was grateful to have her and another amazing art teacher for the next three years. It was because of her and her teachings that inspired me to follow in her footsteps and become an elementary Art teacher as well.
I love kids. I have been working with kids since I was fourteen. Started out volunteering for a summer camp before I worked as a counselor part time while I finished my degree.
So what better way to spend my days doing what I love, knowing that I'm making a difference in a child's life:)
