4th Quarter Vocabulary will be redone once we return back to school. As of right now, current vocabulary is for our Andy Goldsworthy project.

  • Land Art: Art in which you use materials from the land to create a masterpiece

  • Line: an element of art whic can be defined as a point moving in space. (A dot that went for a walk). Can be vertical, horizontal, diagonal, curved, zig zag, wavy, or dotted.

  • Shape: an element of art which is a flat, enclosed area of an artwork created through lines, textures, colors or an area enclosed by other shapes such as triangles, circles, and squares.

  • Form: an element of art where the shapes are three dimensional(3D). Meaning the shape must have length, width, and depth (height).

  • Movement: A principle of design used to create the look and feeling of action and to guide the viewer’s eye throughout the work of art.

  • Value: The lightness or darkness of tones or colors. White is the lightest value; black is the darkest. Andy plays with the idea of light and dark when it comes to his pieces.

  • Temporary: lasting for only a limited period of time; not permanent.
